PLANETARY SOUND SYNTHESES:
SEMINAR ON DIPHONIC CHANT, VOICE GAMES, AND NORWEGIAN KVEDING.

Project Concrescence continues its exploration into the human voice during this year's Ultima Festival, after its successful launch during the festival last year. This time there are two seminars (6 October with Tran Quang Hai, diphonic chant, 14 October with Guy Reibel (Jeux Vocaux) and 15 October with Lasse Thoresen, Benoît Aubigny and the 5 more composers), as well as a concert with Nordic Voices (15 October). The Concert will present six World Premiers by Georg Friederich Haas, Guy Reibel, Bernat Vivancos, Ragnhild Berstad, Henrik Ødegaard, and Lasse Thoresen. The composers will present their works in an extended pre-concert talk. The seminars, as well as the concert, take place at Norges Musikkhøgskole (the Norwegian Academy of Music), Oslo, Norway. The active participants this year will be the students from the school, while the seminars are open to auditors wishing to attend.
